Postcards from South Africa 03.04.11

We drove up Signal Hill one night to enjoy the sunset. We found a little spot away from the rest of the tourists to enjoy the stunning view of Table Mountain and the sunset progression. Just to our right lay Robbin Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during Apartheid.

The kids LOVED looking at the pictures and hearing the stories. They were very impressed to see the Cheetahs. I also appreciated the comment about Nelson Mandela as it was a springboard for MANY questions (by the kids) and lots of fun research!!!

Oh, I'm so glad! South Africa is such a fascinating place, rich with history, ecological diversity, cultural diversity and a variety of significant landmarks.

We have a video of us petting the cheetah while it purrs--very loudly. Unbelievable.

MISS YOU!
